This is the first in a series that will delve in to each NFL position, ranking the top 12 for all. After each has been dissected, I will give my final top 12 players in the NFL.
In honor of the recent tv series on NFL Network known as "The Top 100 Players of 2017", where the entire pool of players vote on who they believe are the best. It got me thinking of who I believe are the best in the biz. Then I thought, "why not delve into each position". It sounds like fun right? Well I certainly think it does. But before I get to the positions, I thought I'd give a short preview.
Tom Brady was revealed as the #1 player during the show's finale earlier this week, as voted by his peers, becoming the first player since the show began in 2010 to have been named the top player more than once.

Week One: Offensive Line - position ranking and short delving into of the history of the position.
Week Two: Defensive End and Tackle (separate lists) - same as week one

As I go through the history of the positions, some of you probably already know this, but there are sub positions to each over arching position (except QB), which some believe should be ranked as their own positions. Due to the length of time that would take, I won't be doing this. It's also not pivotal that they be separated. I will instead explain the different types of positions within each major one briefly, and when revealing my rankings of players, I will note which they fit into and/or are especially good at.

Football is America's most watched sport, and these forthcoming players are it's stars. These guys are at the top of their games, creating moments that will forever be etched into out brains and making millions in the process.
